Modules
Full-time Core modules: Critical Perspective in Higher Education Methods of Enquiry Introduction to Action Research Dissertation You will study either ‘Introduction to Action Research or ‘Methods of Enquiry’. In addition, you choose two modules from the ‘Option modules’ below. Please note: If you start your course in September, you will complete four modules and then your dissertation. If you start your course in January, you will complete two modules, then your dissertation, then the remaining two modules. Part-time Year 1 One module in each of the September, January and May terms: Core modules: Critical Perspective in Higher Education Methods of Enquiry Introduction to Action Research Please note you will study either ‘Introduction to Action Research or ‘Methods of Enquiry’. In addition, you choose one module from the ‘Option modules’ below. Part-time Year 2 One optional module from the list below in the September term, and from January to July/Aug you will study: Dissertation Option modules Comparative Approaches to Learning International Approaches to Early Childhood Education Exploring Teaching and Learning Understanding Curriculum Development in Primary and Early Primary Education Children, Childhood and Society Mentoring and Coaching Education, Extremism and Community Cohesion Managing Learning and Development in Organisations Developing Effective Leadership Critical Social Policy in Education and Public Services Special Educational Needs and Disability: Evaluating Policy and Practice Understanding E-Learning E-Tutoring
Assessment method
The course is normally assessed through coursework. The assessment on the course allows you to demonstrate your practical knowledge and skills alongside developing your critical and theoretical understanding of the subject. Entry requirements
Entry requirements for this course are normally: * an Honours degree (2:2 or above) or an equivalent professional qualification.
English language requirements
If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.

The part-time tuition fee for UK postgraduate students on this course will be £575 (Band 1) per 15 credit module.
