Course summary

Our MA International Peace & Security consists of a broad-based multidisciplinary curriculum, focusing on law and conflict in international society and contemporary security issues. It is ideal if you are looking for a career in international organisations, government departments, political risk and financial sector, further research/PhD or professional legal studies.   • You may choose from a wide range of optional modules available within the Department of War Studies, and from a handful of carefully selected law modules (from within the Law School which may vary from one year to another) that are made exclusively available to MA IPS students each year.

Entry requirements

Undergraduate degree with high 2:1 honours (i.e. overall average of at least 65% across all years of study) in law, history, international relations, political science, economics or other appropriate subject. In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum high 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 65% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 65% or above in the UK marking scheme.
