Course summary
This course gives students the expertise and knowledge as well as the analytical and research skills needed to perform a managerial role in an international organisation. There is also a comprehensive personal development programme within this degree to enable students to develop a range of self management skills. This programme enables students to acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to work in an international environment, alongside learning to work alongside people from different nations, cultures, and academic backgrounds, which helps extend personal and interpersonal skills essential for managerial roles. In addition, this helps develops the students' problem-solving abilities.
Modules
You will study the following compulsory modules: strategic analysis; managing finance; management research; international management; globalisation; delivering customer requirements; people and organisations in an international context. In addition, you will study 1 optional module from: leadership; project management; global marketing; asian management; digital business information systems; Master's dissertation.
Assessment method
Assessment is through supervised mini-projects, presentations, time-constrained assignments and examinations.
Entry requirements
Applicants need a good Honours degree (minimum 2.2) from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent from a recognised overseas institution. Applicants whose 1st language is not English are required to meet the UK Border Agency and Universities minimum English language requirements, such as the International English Language Test (IELTS) 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
