MMus Chamber Music Performance at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama - UCAS

Course summary

The MMus Chamber Music Performance programme is available over two years, full-time. This course focuses on the development of the essential practical, creative and artistic skills that underpin high-level chamber music performance. Once on the course, students form ensembles that allow them to study the repertoire that best supports their musical and technical development, across a range of styles, genres and combinations and according to their interests. Specialist chamber performance classes, led by experienced chamber musicians, will cover key areas including rehearsal techniques, ensemble sound, listening skills and group communication (verbal and non-verbal). Through their individual principal study tuition, students will continue to develop their instrumental skills, as well as working on chamber music repertoire for their assessments and other performance projects.
