This programme will enable you to use previously gained skills and level 5 qualifications, such as a relevant Foundation Degree/HND to become skilled and qualified in the fields of animal management, conservation science, behaviour and welfare. Within the BSc (Hons) Animal Conservation Management you will examine the scientific principles and impact of conservation practices and how they promote natural animal behaviour. The genetic considerations behind activities such as conservation programme design will be explored. Your professional practice will be developed using a wide range of species and conservation methods to enable the application of theory to practical situations such as sampling techniques and conservation programme design critique. This course will equip you with the scientific knowledge and practical skills for a range of areas within the animal industry focusing on: conservation biology and management. Professional development will build upon your previous studies and is embedded within this programme to enable you to further develop your skills set upon entering the animal management industry. Professional development will encompass practical skills development, graduate skills development and transferable skills development.
