Course Overview Indulge your passion for English Literature and explore some of the greatest writers of all time. Become a better writer, unleash your creativity and connect with industry professionals. Why study with us
- You may be able to study abroad as part of your course. You can choose spend a semester or full year abroad. We have exchange agreements with universities in many countries.
- Through our Live Literature Room you can share your work with others and attend specialist literary events featuring industry professionals.
- Embark on field trips to important literary locations (such as Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters) and enjoy unmissable opportunities to see a Shakespeare play performed live.
- Gain valuable work experience with real clients through our Live Literature Room project - previous students have organised creative writing events, literary festivals and a major ‘Comicon’ event.
- Explore literature from different periods and places, from Renaissance to Modernist and contemporary writing, and engage with theories and perspectives on gender, race and identity.
- You’ll learn through a combination of taught lectures and group workshops, sharing ideas and engaging in lively literary and cultural debates.
