Course summary
A degree with a specialised pathway in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Machine Learning where data meets intelligence for attaining the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career. Our degree in Computing (Artificial Intelligence) is designed to provide students with a solid grounding in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Machine Learning. They will be able to apply AI theories and data handling skills to analyse real-world problems within the context of computing, analytical techniques and problem-solving skills that can be applied in many types of employment. You will also have a deep understanding of and can critically apply the body of knowledge in the discipline of computing within a multinational environment. What you should know about this course
- Develop knowledge and understanding in the design, development, and delivery of software platforms using industry-led development tools, techniques, methods, and frameworks.
- The course explores the theory, technology, practice, and application of computing and the development of information systems.
- You'll be in an excellent position to specialise in Information Systems or Networking, or build a broad range of skills with a specialised Computing degree.
- The University of Greenwich has a long-standing relationship with the British Computer Society (BCS), which accredits our computing degree programmes. As this programme was extensively updated in 2019, it has a current designation of Initial Full Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP) accreditation for the 2019 intake. The accreditation status is expected to be confirmed in autumn 2022 after the first cohort of students graduate. Students will be kept updated on the status of this. In the very unlikely event that this does not progress as expected the university will support students with individual BCS membership applications at the point of graduation.
