Course summary
This conversion programme is designed for graduates in any area who’d like to pursue a career in professional psychology. After completing this programme you’ll qualify you for entry to further training, in specialisms such as forensic, clinical and sports psychology. Whether you’ve studied psychology and didn’t gain accreditation with the British Psychological Society (BPS), or you’re looking to change career paths after studying another subject, this could be the course for you. Converting your degree to a new subject area can be a challenge – we’ll aim to build on your existing graduate skills and help you with your individual development. Study style Taught by a team of Psychologists who are committed to offering an excellent student experience, the course takes a strongly applied approach which draws upon the experiences and insight of everyone involved. You’ll learn through lectures, seminars, tutorials and lab sessions – and you’ll be assessed through research reports, essays, presentations and a dissertation. To help you make your way through quite an intensive learning experience, there’s a close and supportive relationship between our expert staff and students, as well as a Personal Tutor to help you individually. Entry requirements
- At least an ordinary or honours degree in any subject, including degrees in psychology that are not accredited by the BPS. - Applicants without a degree may be considered if they can demonstrate substantial, relevant work experience - EU and international students need IELTs 6.0 overall (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
English language requirements
International students will need to produce evidence of an acceptable score on an approved English language test such as IELTS. We run pre-sessional English language courses to help you prepare for undergraduate or postgraduate study.
