Course summary
This doctoral training programme aims to create a new school of thinking, capable of leading the transformation from fossil fuel to sustainable and environmentally-friendly electric transport. Research topics will vary but cover topics on:
- electric propulsion
- power electronics
- thermal management
- control
- communication
Entry requirements
2:1 bachelors degree in an engineering or science discipline. The CDT follows a “Supervisor on Demand” route, so a supervisor is linked to a student depending on their project and industrial partner. So a wide variety of supervisors available. We encourage you to get in touch with a member of academic staff about your research proposal before submitting an application. They may be able to help you with your proposal and offer support to find funding opportunities in your area.
