Education and History at Keele explores the nature of learning including core elements such as policy, teaching and practice, whilst investigating the past and key influences that have shaped global history such as social, economic, political, and cultural forces. On this combined honours programme, you will actively engage with discussions around various topics such as psychological, sociological and cultural influences in education, and consider how these may evolve in the future. You will explore key issues and challenges associated with teaching and learning at different levels, such as primary and secondary. History at Keele enables you to engage with academics who are experts across a diverse range of fields and periods of history. You will develop your knowledge, critical thinking, and analytical skills by studying a range of topics and learn how to research these areas effectively, how to critically interrogate evidence and reflect on pivotal moments in history. This will involve working both independently and as part of a team in order to broaden your knowledge and develop transferable skills that will allow you to interpret information from various sources critically and effectively.
