Middlesbrough College has opted into the TEF and received a Gold award.
This top-up degree course develops your knowledge and understanding of health and wellbeing and the contemporary and global context in which it is delivered. It is ideal if you want to top up your existing foundation degree or HND to Level 6 and gain graduate employment in the sector. You will study a range of subjects to develop your employment potential within health, social care and community health settings. This course enables you to focus on areas of specific interest, offering a unique learning experience.
Modules will include: Preparation for Dissertation Dissertation Continuing Professional Development International Social Policy Community Health and Wellbeing
You will be assessed through essays, portfolios, reports, projects, a presentation, mock interview and assignments.
Qualified teacher status (QTS)
To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

Applicants will need to hold 240 credits at Level 5 from either a Foundation Degree or HND. You must also hold Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths. This may be GCSE (grade C/4), Functional Skills or units from the Access to HE Diploma.
