Support and protect those who are vulnerable in society. You'll understand how individuals behave in families and communities. Course Overview Prepare for a rewarding career as a social worker and enjoy a range of employment options across a variety of sectors. As part of this course you'll:
- Study psychosocial themes and perspectives, and theories and policies relating to social welfare and the safeguarding of adults and children
- Complete extended placements in your second and third years, which will help fulfil part of the professional body requirements for registration
- Integrate study with professional experience to develop the essential knowledge and skills required for a career supporting diverse groups of service users in social work
- Opportunities for extended placements - apply your knowledge and skills in a real-world setting
- Approved by Social Work England - the specialist regulator for social work in England

Interview
We conduct interviews as part of the admissions process and suitable applicants will be invited to an interview. You would normally need significant relevant social care experience and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the Social Work profession. You will need to relate your experience to the contemporary setting in which Social Workers operate. You will also need to provide a social care reference.
