On our BA Film Production course, you will learn what goes into developing one of the largest and most successful industries in the world. You will gain the skills and knowledge to explore your creative endeavours and forge an exciting career behind the camera. You’ll study alongside some of the best film academics in the UK as you learn practical film production skills and the theory involved in audio-visual media that will help support your storytelling. Skills This course will allow you to explore the core competencies of producing film including screenwriting, cinematography, editing and post-production whilst sharpening your skills in critical analysis and research of the industry. With an emphasis on the interdisciplinary approaches to digital film and storytelling, you will be encouraged to expand upon your creative ideas through practice-focused modules, workshops and technical demonstrations. Career opportunities You will graduate as a highly skilled creative with a solid understanding of the competencies and technologies needed to enter roles in audio-visual media production and in the development of content across a wide range of digital platforms and roles in post-production. This course is designed with your future employability in mind, throughout the course you will work on live briefs supplied by our industry partners and a dedicated work placement module will help put what you’ve learnt into practice and gain practical experience to enhance your CV.
