Designed for estates and facilities management professionals seeking rapid career progression, this course builds on your existing ability and challenges you to develop the executive leadership skills needed for senior management. We also offer a degree apprenticeship version of this course, where you study alongside 30+ hours of employment a week. Our approach replicates the real world where strategic decisions will span multiple business areas, providing you with a richer and more realistic learning experience. Your taught sessions comprise of intensive study blocks in Sheffield, combined with self-managed study time, so that you can work comfortably with your existing commitments in the UK or overseas. The course is also accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), meaning successful graduates gain an ILM Diploma in Leadership and Management. Applied learning To be a successful leader, you need to understand, implement and integrate the current fundamental concepts of facilities management and business, and have insights from differing professional perspectives. You gain this knowledge by studying four modules on facilities management and also core MBA subjects. These modules are integrated meaning that instead of studying finance or globalisation in isolation, you study finance together with globalisation, marketing and decision-making. Our approach replicates the real world where strategic decisions will span multiple business areas, providing you with a richer and more realistic learning experience. At the diploma stage of the course, you have the opportunity to complete psychometric tests, which can help you increase your critical self-awareness, better understand your leadership skills and identify areas for development. Additionally, you have the opportunity to work on a consultancy project that involves investigating a real issue within your own organisation, or one with which you are familiar. Over the course, we tailor assignments and projects to the needs of your organisation or your own areas of interest, which maximises the value of your studies. Your organisation also has the opportunity to provide input into your learning and contribute to your development. You need either • a 2.2 degree or equivalent and two years managerial and operational experience or • significant managerial and operational experience Overseas applicants also need IELTS score of 6.5 with 6.0 in all skills or equivalent.
