There are more uniformed public services than you might think, including the Armed Services (Army, Navy and Air Force), HM Customs and Excise, police, fire service, security services, prison service, ambulance service, rescue services, the UK Border Agency and the coast guard. Most of the uniformed services require skills and competence in:
