OVERVIEW Photography at Norwich University of the Arts provides opportunities to develop a highly personal, unique and creatively aspirational practice, whilst giving you the practical skills and understanding to apply your creative vision to a range of contexts within the creative and cultural industries. The course champions personal practice and you will develop this highly individual creative identity while acquiring a deep understanding of technical craft skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of approaches to contemporary photography. - Actively engage with the rapidly developing nature of photography and explore the possibilities of new and emerging technologies
- Utilise a range of practices from within historical boundaries of photography and at the cutting edge of contemporary practice
- Explore techniques from other areas of creative practice including moving image, computer-generated imagery (CGI), animation and illustration
- Engage with a wide range of contemporary practitioners and artists with diverse practices as well as the Association of Photographers (AOP)
- Gain insight from guest speakers and masterclasses led by renowned professionals who will help shape your business skills
- Develop transferable professional abilities in analytical thinking, critical judgement, organisational skills, collaboration and communication
- Attend workshops, portfolio reviews and professional practice sessions to support your transition from academia to your chosen career

Assessment method
The University assesses you through the coursework you produce as you complete each unit. Each unit will require you to present a portfolio of work which may include finished pieces of work, written work, your research, and a reflective journal which allows you to evaluate your learning and highlight your strengths and areas for further development.
