Studying psychology with modern history will give you a varied choice of modules to study. Modern history deals with topics such as Victorian society and Russia, while psychology unpicks the human mind and seeks to explore why humans behave the way they do. This degree will give you a broad range of transferable skills and a knowledge of diverse topics - from data analysis to colonialism. Modules chosen at Level 5 and Level 6 will define the particular degree title awarded, of either BA (Hons) Modern History with Psychology or BA (Hons) Psychology with Modern History. What will I study? Modern History Looking to the past is essential in beginning to understand the way of the modern world. Recent history has seen devastating world wars, new technologies and shifts in world powers. By studying modern history with us, you will start to uncover a number of interesting topics and events that continue to shape the world we live in. Our modern history degree covers topics as diverse as the Victorians, sexualities and politics. Along the way, you will also discover how to understand and research the past in great depth. Psychology For those interested in the mind and human behaviour, psychology is a fascinating subject to explore. Our degree introduces you to a number of insightful topics, designed to stimulate and challenge your way of thinking. Biological, social, developmental and cognitive psychology are investigated to uncover the reasons for certain human behaviours. These topics are linked to real-life issues to encourage relevant thought about why people are the way they are. You will dive into important topics such as research methods and data analysis to ensure your work is academically sound while feeling confident about your ability to create insightful work that unpicks the human mind.

Access to Higher Education Diploma with a Merit profile. Mature students who have relevant evidence of work experience and/or relevant recent study following a successful interview.
