Are you looking for a national recognised qualification? Are you ready to improve your career prospects and looking for a career in civil and site engineering? If so, a Pearson BTEC Higher National Certificate in Civil Engineering will help you get there. This course at University Centre Doncaster will give you an understanding of the technologies and processes of civil engineering with their essential involvement in the construction and maintenance of the infrastructure, and key technologies that apply to the crucial support of our societies. All teaching staff having extensive industrial experience, are highly qualified and enthusiastic professionals. Upon completion of your Higher National Certificate in Civil Engineering you will have developed a wider knowledge of the civil engineering principles which will prepare you for employment opportunities in the civil engineering industry or take further qualifications to further your knowledge and understanding of the industry. This course is particularly relevant to people already working in or looking to develop a career within it. Further the course provides a range of skills relevant across a variety of different professions. People who have completed this course have gone on to work in areas of construction including: • Site Engineering Technician • Structural Engineering • Design Civil Engineering If you wish to continue studying beyond this course, it will provide you with a strong academic basis to do so. Course progression routes may include The HNC course is designed to provide progression onto a BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) top-up or a higher apprenticeship top-up. This will also then offer a route to study a top-up degree in civil and structural engineering or a related discipline as well as progression to professional body membership.
