Course summary

Our ground-breaking BA/BSc Geography programme on the Penryn Campus in Cornwall offers a new, vibrant, and fresh approach to studying geography. This innovative undergraduate degree offers a progressive way to examine critical global challenges by exploring both human and physical issues and, importantly, the connections between the two. This contemporary approach to geographical learning provides you with a critical appreciation of 21st-century challenges from multiple perspectives. This programme provides knowledge and understanding of a wide range of applied geoscience disciplines. It provides students with the technical background for employment in exploration, production geology or geometallurgy, and is best suited to students who wish to develop as broad a portfolio of skills as possible. It is possible to transfer onto the BSc Engineering Geology and Geotechnics programme at any point up until the end of the second year as both degree programmes have a common first and second year.
