- All students have the opportunity to take part in a Global Community Exchange or the peer leadership development programme, Global Youth Solutions. We have working partnerships with community groups in Oman, Pakistan, Greece and Morocco.
- Take advantage of excellent opportunities for international, national and local networking, which will enhance your employment prospects.
- A unique course in the UK which is designed to prepare you for community leadership roles within the third sector, the public sector, governance and politics, and also within an international context.
- The course is grounded in the educational philosophy of Paulo Freire, and uses action reflection praxis as a basis for learning.
- Access extra-curricular Freire-based learning opportunities and activities, including online training programmes, via the on-campus Freire Institute.
- You’ll undertake structured work experience through volunteering or community action. You will also be eligible for awards from the ILM as part of your programme.
- The Institute is at the leading edge of management thinking and are a globally recognised professional membership body for leaders and managers. Their research into new ideas, techniques and methods ensures that ILM courses are constantly improving, helping to develop students' leadership and management skills.
