Course summary

The MA Film Studies reflects UCL's particular research strengths in cinema history across an exceptionally broad range of cinemas in terms of the scope and diversity of the programme. We offer modules in cinemas from Europe, East Asia, Africa and the Americas, and our academic staff utilise a wide array of theoretical approaches to screen media in the classroom: from film theory and political economy, to cultural studies and critical media studies.


Entry requirements

A minimum of a first or a high upper second-class Honours degree (average 65%) in a relevant discipline from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. English level: Level 4
