Course summary
This Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship offers university-based study alongside practical workplace experience to prepare you for your career as a manager. You will be employed full time or part time by a business and attend university on a day-release basis. This course gives you a firm grounding in the principles of management, enables you to study the nature of organisations through your own experience at work, helps you develop as a self-aware and reflective manager, and builds your management skills in practice. You will study a mixture of modules focusing on management and business topics that are relevant to your employer and can be applied in your workplace. You will explore six main topics: Human Resources Operations and strategic management Finance and law Marketing and communications The manager The organisation You will have a full or part time job with your employer while you study and be able to apply the knowledge you learn at university to your workplace. When you graduate you will be awarded a BA (Hons) Management degree. The degree apprenticeship is delivered one day per week over 4 years and is open to both existing employees and newly-recruited staff.
