Course summary

Develop astute business acumen on an MBA focused on financial success. Our strategic perspective will help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to accelerate your career. We’ll show you how to make growth decisions based on sound financial data. You’ll reflect on the global economy in bust and boom times and explore international markets as investments. You’ll also study a range of contemporary issues including globalisation, ethics and social responsibility. We set our MBA teaching in an international context with examples taken from the global economy. You’ll take a strategic focus across the course and concentrate on the major decisions that organisations have to make to determine their overall direction. Alongside finance, you’ll study the value of strategic human resources and marketing. You’ll look at case studies on innovation and the impact of the consumer. At the same time, you’ll also study contemporary business theory. You don’t need a business or management degree to join us. Our students have varied work and academic experience often with a science or technology background. Assessment method

Throughout the programme, there is a combination of different forms of assessment to test intellectual development, vocational capability, and critical thinking. Coursework often involves both individual and group-based working. Case studies and problem solving exercises are used. Examinations take a variety of forms, using both seen and unseen questions.

Entry requirements

You should have a degree equivalent to UK first-class or second-class honours (2:2 or above). No specific subjects are required. Ideally you should also have two years of relevant work experience gained after graduation although well qualified and motivated candidates without this will be considered.
