Course summary
This Computing HNC is an exciting and challenging part-time course that helps prepare students for work in the computer industry. During this course students will develop skills that are in current demand such as data analytics, programming, web development, security, professional practice, computer systems architecture, database development, networking, strategic information systems, and managing a successful computing project. Students from this course may be already employed in, or will move into, a variety of jobs from IT technician to web developer and other technical support or training roles. This course is suitable for anyone wishing to develop their skills in this vocational area, people who have been out of education for some time, those who may not have achieved their potential in earlier education and students progressing from A Levels or BTEC Diplomas. This course is particularly suited to those wishing to return to employment or looking to change career direction. The course aims to enhance your IT skills across a range of key areas in order to develop your knowledge and experience in preparation for further study or employment.

BTEC Level 3 Extended/Diploma, AS/A2/A Levels or Access to HE Diploma. GCSE English and mathematics at grade C/4 or above. Mature students will be considered on an individual basis.
