Study international horseracing business with practising industry professionals. Gain experience to progress into an exciting career in the growing global racing industry, especially in Dubai, Japan, Hong Kong, the US and Australia. You’ll develop your expertise in horseracing business, as well as the equine management side of commercial racing. Live business briefs, field trips to well-known racing yards and work experience will strengthen your understanding of the global racing world. The foundation year option will give you the subject-specific knowledge and skills needed to progress on to the BSc degree. Gloucestershire, home to the world-famous Gold Cup Festival, boasts some of the world’s most prestigious training centres. Our students gain work experience and graduate roles with many of these, as well as through our partnerships with big racing businesses and organisations. This includes the British Horseracing Authority, Newmarket Jockey Club Racecourses, the Irish National Stud, as well as racehorse training roles.

Modules are designed to give students an understanding of the commercial side of the UK and international racing industry. Modules cover a range of topics including marketing, management, economics and finance.

A level DD EE Typical offer is DD-EE or equivalent. This must include a minimum of one ALevel.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) PPP Typical offer is a PPP in an Extended Diploma or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Access to HE Diploma Typical offer is 32-48 UCAS tariff points in an Access to Higher Education Diploma.
Scottish Higher Typical offer is 32-48 UCAS taiff points in Scottish Highers. This must include a minimum of one higher.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Typical offer is 32-48 UCAS tarif points in an International Baccalaureate Diploma, to include a minimum of one Highers at H3or above. This must also include Maths and English Language at a miimum of Standard Level S3 if equivalent GCSEs have not been obtained.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) Typical offer is 32-48 UCAS tariff points in the Irish Leaving Certificate. This must include a minimum of one Higher. This must also include Maths and English Language at a minimum of Ordinary level.

A minimum of 5 GCSEs A to C (or 9 to 4 where numeric grades are being awarded) or equivalent, to include English Language and Maths.
