Set in 600 acres of countryside in North Staffordshire, we have one of the largest and most beautiful campuses in Britain. You will study accountancy with a specialism in finance, exploring the design and use of accounting and financial systems and how they are affected by individuals, organisations, markets and society. Core financial and management accounting modules will be supported with the opportunity to study specialist topics such as taxation, corporate governance and audit. Finance modules are designed to introduce and explore the theories leading to the design of financial institutions, the services they provide and the products they sell. Observational and analytical skills will be developed and practiced throughout your study. Our computer laboratories are equipped with industry-leading software such as Bloomberg, STATA, Thomson Reuters and Sage Accounting Software, providing you with an opportunity to use work-based technologies. To enrich your studies, you may be able to take either a placement year, international year or entrepreneurship year (visa restrictions apply).
