Course summary
Develop an in-depth understanding of the international business landscape and the challenges of competing in international markets. This programme combines a four-year degree in International Business with a bespoke foundation year, providing a smooth pathway for you as an international or EU student whose prior education or English language proficiency does not enable you to apply directly for a four-year degree. The programme will equip you with the skills you need to anyalyse complex business issues, make judgements and operate flexibly and effectively in business organisations. In the third year of your degree, you will spend a year abroad at one of our international partner universities, where you'll benefit from the exposure to different cultural settings and gain international experience. During your studies, you'll examine the key strategic issues and challenges that organisations face today in their effort to compete in a globalised world. You’ll understand the complexity of business, taking into account the institutional and social context within which business is executed. You’ll also be capable of opposite judgments on business concerns and learn to apply the concepts of business to particular cases and make reasoned and substantiated judgments. The programme will include aspects of international competitive strategies, globalisation, regional studies, quantitative methods, economics, open innovation and sharing economies, information and communication technologies, data analytics, global platforms, global supply chains, cross-cultural management, global sustainability and global marketing.

Assessment method
Assessment typically includes a combination of coursework (presentations, assignments, essay report writing, in-class tests, research and project work) and examinations in May or June.

Academic Requirements This programme combines a three-year degree in International Business with a bespoke foundation year, providing you with a smooth pathway as an international or EU student whose prior education or English language proficiency does not enable you to apply directly for a three-year degree. This programme is designed for students who have completed a good high school education that consists of at least 12 years’ study. For minimum requirements, please refer to details on our website. For full country specific entry requirements and qualification equivalencies visit: qmul.ac.uk/international/countries Applicants who have studied A levels in the UK will be considered on a case by case basis. If you have taken both GCSE and A level exams (or equivalent qualifications) in the UK you will not be considered for admission to this programme. In such cases we recommend that you apply for the relevant three year programme with entry in year 1. English Minimum of IELTS 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
