Course summary
This course is designed to prepare you for a career as a fashion industry professional. It focuses on contemporary fashion design and encourages you to be creative, developing the skills needed to work successfully in the fashion industry. You will be encouraged, throughout your time with us, to develop your individual identity through your work and have the confidence to respond creatively to a design brief from within any area of the fashion business. On successful completion of the 3rd year, you also have the opportunity to celebrate your final collection at one or more external venues in London and possibly outside the UK. The course has been designed to ensure that as a graduating student you are accomplished in all areas of research, design development, pattern cutting, garment manufacture and portfolio presentation. Our degree is designed in collaboration with and validated by Falmouth University. All three years of the programme are delivered at CSVPA and on completion you will be awarded the same qualification and certificate as a student who has graduated from Falmouth University, the UK's No 1 Creative Arts university. As a Fashion student we will provide you with: Your own design space, accessible 7 days a week 5 days a week studio time Lecturers who are based in your studios Monday to Friday, giving you high quality one-to-one time Lectures and one-on-one time with industry professionals, to help you build up your industry links Technical skills tuition Guaranteed Graduate Fashion Show in London All calico for toiles All pattern cutting paper and card Findings and trims required for set projects such as corsetry and tailoring Basic interlinings Screen printing with inks and foils Fabric dyes Free printing up to A3 colour

Qualification requirements
Ideally applicants should have achieved, or be working towards achieving one of the educational entry requirements below: 2 A levels passes equivalent to 64 UCAS points 1 A level pass grade C or above and a pass at Foundation Diploma Pass grade at UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma Pass grade at BTEC Extended Diploma Students who do not meet these entry requirements will still be considered on their own individual potential to succeed.
