Course information With a Joint Honours degree, you study two subjects and depending on how much time you want to spend on each subject, your degree may emphasise one subject more than the other, which is a major and minor programme. Alternatively, you can study your subjects equally, resulting in a joint degree. Joint honours degrees are taught in the same way as single honours degrees, with 120 credits taught per year, over three years. Social Care Joint Honours course focuses on the context within which social problems arise and includes in-depth examination of social issues and the ways in which these issues are addressed. Studying Joint Honours Psychology can set you on a range of career paths including Educational Psychology, teaching, physical and mental health and clinical Psychology amongst others outside of Psychology. If you want a career in Psychology you must major in Psychology and ensure that you take sufficient Psychology modules to meet the requirements of British Psychological Society (BPS) Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC).
