MA Creative Practice: Dance Professional Introduction Delivered in conjunction with our partner organisations: Siobhan Davies Dance and Independent Dance, the Dance Professional Practice enables experienced practitioners to develop their artistic practice in a stimulating environment of intellectual and creative inquiry. We support mid-career artists to: reflect on their body of professional experience and its role in their ongoing learning engage in intensive studio-based experiences with significant artists and a skilled peer group deepen their own practice as performers/makers develop their understanding of a range of research methodologies within the arts and pursue their own area of artistic interest. MA Creative Practice: Transdisciplinary The MA Creative Practice: Transdisciplinary offers a unique opportunity to place your interdisciplinary practice in transformative dialogue with leading dance and movement practitioners. The programme is designed to provide a flexible and bespoke programme of study, enabling you to choose from a range of modules delivered by Trinity Laban. MA Creative Practice supports both emergent and professional (dance) artists in the further development of their practice. Key Features Flexible curriculum lets you develop existing specialisms and pursue new skills, such as performance making, embodied writing or film making. Choreological Practice will provide a framework and terminology for investigation and analysis of human movement. Practical investigations aim to enhance observation skills and develop movement literacy. The Transdisciplinary pathway offers a bespoke and supported space to challenge your assumptions, bring clarity, and articulate your values and priorities as an artist and creative practitioner. An interdisciplinary approach allows development and articulation of your individual research.
During the application and audition process, you must select which instrument(s) you wish to specialise in for the duration of your course. On this course, you can choose from the following options:
Only one specialism is studied. It may be possible to study a further instrument, but this will not contribute towards the qualification.
For all courses, you must select at least one specialism from the 'primary' list. For those studying primary/secondary pathways, two instruments may be selected – one from the 'primary' list and one from the 'secondary' list. Joint pathway students may select any two instruments from either list.
This course is closed for the 2024 academic cycle. Please contact the provider or view the 2025 courses.
