Physics (with a year abroad) at University of York - UCAS

Course summary

Physics studies the fundamental forces of the Universe and the nature of waves, particles, and the structure of matter. The BSc Physics degree programmes provide a broad range of physics modules reflecting both theoretical and experimental aspects of the subject with many opportunities to specialise in your particular interest by taking optional modules. The Physics courses are the most flexible of all our degree programmes in the choice of such options. This allows you to deepen and broaden your knowledge into contemporary research areas that are informed by the specialities of our research staff. In your final year of the BSc programme you will participate in a collaborative research group project advancing your physics skills.
