Course summary

This course places emphasis on a market-oriented, customer driven approach to planning and implementing marketing strategies. You’ll develop knowledge and skills to undertake strategic analysis of markets, and create, adapt and implement strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to gain a critical understanding of the rapidly changing and dynamic international business environment, and the skills needed to analyse the strategies and operations of multinational enterprises l. This programme will provide the opportunity for you to study a wide range of topics in international business, from both a theoretical and practical perspective. The course is designed to enable you to tailor it to your own personal and career interests, with a number of option modules available.

You'll study the following modules: The Context of International Business The Strategy of International Business The Global Professional Strategic Marketing Management Option modules may include (choose 1) Intelligent Business Information Systems Managing Sustainable Challenges Managing Employee Relations Emotional Intelligence for the Effective Leader Management Accounting Final Project An opportunity to pursue an area that interests you or which you are passionate about comes in your choice of project. You have a choice of three routes: Research Route, Consultancy Route and New Venture Creation Route (subject to tutor approval). Research Route Research Methods Individual Research Project Consultancy Route Consultancy Skills Group Consultancy Project New Venture Creation Launch a venture New Venture Creation

Assessment method

Tutors are experts in their field and with many having practical experience in industry and the professions which helps combine your academic knowledge with practical application. Many aspects of teaching and assessment are grounded in real life situations.


Entry requirements

Entry requirements for this course are normally: * An Honours degree (2:2 or above), or equivalent qualification, in Business Studies, Marketing, Management, Logistics, Accountancy or Economics. * Applicants with other professional qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis.


English language requirements

If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
