International Tourism Management Explore one of the world’s leading industries. Discover the benefits of sustainable tourism, develop hands-on tourism skills and plan your future in tourism. We bring International Tourism Management to life with inspiring and real experiences, and our course is accredited by the Tourism Management Institute (TMI). We are passionate about sustainable and responsible tourism management and you will learn, in creative ways, how tourism businesses and destinations are managed to be successful, sustainable and competitive. Your transformation from new student to future tourism leader will begin from day one. Chester is one of the UK’s leading historic tourism destinations so it is the ideal place to explore tourism marketing, development and management ideas that can be applied across the globe, especially given the challenges of the past few years. Benefit from our links with industry experts and exciting placement opportunities. You’ll have the chance to shape your career with a work placement in your second year. And if you’d like to broaden your horizons even further, how does a year at Walt Disney World in the sunshine state sound? Just one of our many opportunities for a year’s study abroad, or an industry placement that will enhance your Tourism degree and your employment prospects. Marketing On this course, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, you can explore the fast-moving world of marketing, develop real skills, gain cutting edge knowledge and become an outstanding business professional. This course brings marketing to life with inspiring, real-world experiences. It’s a dynamic, competitive world for marketers today, which is why we will equip you with much more than marketing knowledge. Your future employers are seeking skills that we develop with you; meaning you leave us with many valuable experiences giving you an edge at interview and in the workplace. Everything you study will be anchored to today’s business world. You will be looking at small local businesses right through to the leading brands, as well as upcoming trends in key marketing areas, such as customer behaviour and digital communications. Gain an understanding of marketing in a real-life context along with essential digital marketing skills, and develop management awareness in areas such as finance, people and organisations. Use this marketing knowledge to make key decisions and consider the different ways businesses operate around the world. You will begin to shape your career path by choosing an aspect of marketing, along with the option to undertake a five-week or year-long placement, and carrying out an original research project into a subject you select. The Placement Year is an opportunity to work in industry or practice so that you can put everything learnt so far into practice and gain hands-on experience.
