Course summary
This distance learning course is ideal for anyone who wants to increase their knowledge and skills in commercial animal or veterinary nutrition, or to further academic studies. This course is studied part time over 36 months. The design and delivery of this part-time, distance learning programme makes this course particularly attractive if you're working but want to improve your knowledge and skills in the animal nutrition. It's also useful for anyone who might like to study for a PhD. Addressing a critical gap for those aspiring to work in the feed industry, this course enhances conceptual, analytical and presentation skills and teaches modern and effective ways to describe and analyse scientific, research and dietary ration data. That informs decisions on managing, designing and evaluating diets in the context of the interaction between diet, production, health and disease. This qualification is the first masters level animal nutrition programme in the world to be delivered entirely part-time and online in an interactive online learning environment. The course is delivered by the University of Glasgow and SRUC.
