Assessment method
Assessment is via course work which includes essays, reports, practical observations and presentations. The assessment of Pearson's Higher National qualifications are criterion-referenced and you will provide evidence in the form of assignments, which are assessed against the unit learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - MMP
In order to study the Animal Management HNC Level 4, you will need to have a DM profile on an Animal Management BTEC Level 3 Diploma course, a MMP profile on the Animal Management BTEC Extended Diploma, an Access to Higher Education qualification, or an A Level equivalent or a related subject (minimum 80 new UCAS points); GCSEs in English, Maths and Science at grade 4 (C) or above, or Functional Skills Level 2 and/or minimum IELTS score of 6; and the ability to demonstrate meaningful work experience.
