This pathway is aimed at those responsible for the policy, provision or practice of leadership and management in educational settings. The degree award is based on the premise that the foremost task of all leaders in educational settings is to create and develop the most effective and efficient learning environment for the student body that they serve. The degree is suitable for: Head teachers, principals and other senior staff in educational organisations Education officers, inspectors and advisers at local or national level Aspiring leaders in educational contexts across a range of settings and organisations

Assessment method
MA in Leadership and Management in Education can be studied one year full-time, or two years part-time.
Entry requirements
A minimum of 2.2 Honours degree (or international equivalent) is generally required or appropriate professional experience will be taken into account. This degree is for anyone who is interested in Education in its widest sense; it will not qualify you to teach. In order to ensure our students have a rich learning and student experience, most of our programmes have a mix of domestic and international students. We reserve the right to close applications early to either group, if application volumes suggest that this blend cannot be achieved. In addition, existing undergraduate students at the University of Hull have a guaranteed ‘Fast Track’ route to any postgraduate programme, subject to meeting the entry criteria (excluding Social Work).
English language requirements
If you require a Student visa to study or if your first language is not English you will be required to provide acceptable evidence of your English language proficiency level. This course requires academic IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each skill. See other English language proficiency qualifications accepted by this University.
