- Our courses are accredited by the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP).
- You will be able to apply for registration after successfully gaining the MVetPhys, so you can become a fully registered Veterinary Physiotherapist.
- You will have the opportunity to study a range of subjects – from hands on therapies, electrotherapies to biomechanics to sports medicine – relating primarily to horses and dogs.
- You will get access to our on campus facilities include an Equine Water Treadmill and a Canine Therapy Centre.
- You will be taught by highly qualified academic staff, including experienced Veterinary Physiotherapy practitioners.

Assessment method
You will be assessed using a variety of methods throughout the course, including written reports, oral assessments, presentations, closed/open book exams, practical assessments, debates, seminars and many more. Clinical elements will be assessed via observed structured clinical exams and a practical competency log. Practical and clinical components must be passed. You will have three attempts. However, retake fees will apply.

Qualification requirements
Practical experience Your practical experience will be demonstrated by a • A portfolio of evidence • A video You will be able to demonstrate in the portfolio that you will bring and that we can keep good physical fitness, and animal handling skills experience (canine- equine- farm animal/other species) corresponding to at least: • 150 hours for equine • 100 hours for canine under the supervision of various providers. We would like to see evidence of your placements. Letters from the providers stating the date and length of the placements, the animal handling activities undertook and the skills developed. All placements must have been completed before the beginning of the course and evidence sent before early August prior to confirmation of academic results. Placements must be less than three years old to be taken into consideration. Owning a dog or a horse does not constitute evidence of practical handling. Evidence of other activity related to practical handling (competition, pony club, BHS qualifications) should also be copied and added to the portfolio as evidence.We also expect that you provide a non-edited 5mn video of you putting a bridle on horse. Please provide the video on your phone. Commentaries are not necessary but we need to be able to clearly identify you.
