Course summary

The Aspects of Christian Holiness pathway is specifically designed to probe deeply into the important topic of Christian holiness particularly (but not exclusively) as expressed in the Wesleyan tradition. The course work and dissertation encourage students to provide penetrating discussions on specific aspects of Christian holiness of their choosing. The MA in Theology (Aspects of Christian Holiness) and its parallel Postgraduate Diploma course both have four course units. The Postgraduate Certificate course has two course units. These course units are structured around ten two-and-a-half hour seminars. The seminars are facilitated by specialists in the appropriate disciplines. In-depth reading, seminar presentations, group discussion and preparation of written assignments are all included within the course units.

Assessment methods include essays, presentations and seminar participation.


Entry requirements

Non-graduates may be admitted to the PG Certificate on the basis of academic work or a combination of academic and prior experiential learning which indicates that they have reached the level of academic standing equivalent to a graduate. Students who wish to be considered under these provisions should apply to the college for evaluation of their previous experience. In such cases, they may be accepted at the discretion of the Academic Board provided that in addition to the normal requirements of the course of study they attend such course units, prior to the commencement of the PG course, and complete such examinations as may be prescribed by the Academic Board in each case.
