Course summary

This course will introduce you to the global Esports industry. This will be achieved through a variety of applied and practical units in Sport and Business, utilising Esports as the focal point. Then moving into focusing on research skills and developing knowledge to real-world of the Esports industry. If you are passionate about Esports but unsure how to use your passion or what section of the industry is right for you, then this course is for you. The focus of the program is based around units that explore the industry as a whole, whilst providing valuable skills that anyone who works in the industry requires. An exciting element of this HND, is that provides transferable skills that are transferable to many modern businesses. Our Esports course provides a mixture of classroom-based learning, focusing on the key concepts of Esports, whilst incorporating practical activities, allowing you to develop your gameplay, tactics and business approach. As part of the course, there will be opportunities to compete weekly in the National Student Esports, in a range of live and online single and multiplayer games events across titles including Valorant, Overwatch, League of Legends and Rocket League. Aside of the competitive element, there will be trips to gaming festivals, guest speakers from local and national Esports companies providing industry specific knowledge. On completion of the HND in Esports, you will be able to complete a top up year to obtain a full degree. Within the Esports industry, there are a wide range of career opportunities and completing this course, you will be able to consider roles such as
