BA (Hons) Art Practice focuses on practical art and critical-contextual skills. The programme is built on traditional skills delivered by expert practitioners. This is considered to be different from many other ‘fine art’ based degree programmes. The communication of subject matter and concepts through media and processes is delivered in parallel with critical-contextual skills. This dynamic course seeks to produce graduates who have the creative flair and originality to succeed in a range of career destinations. Employers in sectors including Advertising, Graphic Design, Software Design and Publishing seek employees with advanced idea-generation abilities and art practitioners require sophisticated creative process in order that they can generate visual outcomes that stand out from the crowd. The focus on research also enables you to progress to the MA Creative Arts study and a career in academia.
