Course summary
Develop the knowledge, skills and understanding of business, operations and strategy to prepare you for a career in engineering and technology management. Combining the academic excellence and industrial networks from our outstanding School of Management and Faculty of Engineering and Design, our course builds your skills in leadership and management and teaches you how to apply them in an engineering context. You'll explore the impact of new technologies and how they relate to management in the engineering sector. Your studies will include business analysis, product development and supply chain management. Throughout the course, you'll develop a strong foundation in management essentials such as project management, strategy, operations and finance. You'll also have the opportunity to focus on areas of management that are most interesting to you. Team working is a key feature of the course. The teaching environment provides an opportunity to develop your skills working in multidisciplinary teams, applying your diverse skills and experience to a range of contemporary case studies. You can also choose to carry out a practice track project which allows you to work on a real engineering management challenge together with an industrial partner. English language requirements IELTS: 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in all components The Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): 62 with no less than 59 in any element TOEFL IBT: 90 overall with a minimum 21 in all 4 components If you need to improve your English language skills before starting your studies, you may be able to take a pre-sessional course to reach the required level.
Entry requirements
A bachelor’s honours degree or international equivalent, typically a high 2:2 or above, in engineering or management. If your first language is not English but within the last 2 years, you completed your degree in the UK, you may be exempt from our English language requirements. We may make an offer based on a lower grade if you can provide evidence of your suitability for the degree.
