Course summary
If you have a Foundation Degree or HND in any area of electronic music production then we offer the opportunity to top up your qualification to a full BA(Hons) undergraduate degree with one further year of study. It is an intense one year course that includes a creative dissertation, working on a large scale project of your choice. Many students have taken this opportunity to use the amazing facilities at dBs to produce fantastic work in a particular area they are most interested in. It provides the perfect end to undergraduate studies for students who have a passion for making music in a variety of contexts. You will leave with the ability to think creatively, critically and commercially, setting you up to be productive with your skills and position yourself for a successful career in the music industry. This course is taught by dBs and awarded by Falmouth University.
Modules
You’ll prepare for industry or further study by developing your professional portfolio, developing production tools and exploring opportunities for innovation in electronic music. You’ll also design and implement a self-directed research project that explores a subject or practice of your choice. We regret that this course is not available to international applicants who would require a Student Visa. If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate English language skills that are sufficiently developed for successful completion of your studies. We accept a range of recognised English language qualifications that are equivalent to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic minimum score of 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.
