Find out more As part of our strong focus on action learning, you will make use of a purpose-built business simulation suite, which mimics facilities used to train the emergency services. You will be presented with business critical challenges and situations and will work in teams to devise response strategies, using real-time business information to formulate your approach. Immediate feedback will help evaluate and improve your analytical and decision making skills. Your teaching will include lectures, seminars and tutorials, with both individual and group work. Your modules will be taught by a mix of expert academic staff, many of whom are fellows of the Higher Education Academy, together with industry professionals. You can choose to undertake a consultancy project with one of our partner organisations in the public, private and charitable sectors, negotiating the project's finer details directly with the client and presenting your research to your client and academic supervisor. Applicants should either have at least a 2nd Class Honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
