Why Paramedic Science? Our Paramedic Science degree gives you both the theory and practical skills you’ll need to be a successful paramedic, working at the cutting-edge of healthcare in a dynamic and sought-after role. You’ll learn the latest techniques and practices from lecturers with extensive knowledge of contemporary pre-hospital care, utilising cutting-edge equipment and simulated medical settings. You’ll benefit from training with ultra-realistic Lifecast Body Simulation and SynDaver anatomy manikins, along with iSimulate REALITi defibrillators and ECG simulation technology, helping properly prepare you for the challenges you’ll face in the real world. Developed in partnership with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT), our course is fully approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), which enables graduates to apply for HCPC registration as a paramedic. On completion of this course, you’ll be ready to enter a challenging but meaningful career with the decision-making, leadership and communication skills needed to work effectively, safely and ethically.
