Course summary
TEF Silver
TEC Partnership has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
This course is primarily designed for face to face learning with you attending your lessons for the specified hours within the validation document. However, there may be periods of study where the government advises TEC Partnership that it is not safe to open campuses or there is limited access due to social distancing measures. If the Campus is closed TEC Partnership will continue to deliver your sessions online and offer you the necessary support and resources remotely. If there is limited access due to social distancing measures a blended model will be adopted with some lessons happening in small groups and others happening using online sessions and support. Do you want to Top- up your level 5 qualification to a full degree in Health and Social Care? A Top-up degree is the equivalent to the final year of an undergraduate degree. This programme aims to provide a natural progression for students who may have completed a related foundation degree or equivalent level 5 qualification (e.g. HND). Top-up degrees enable students to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of a particular topic. The BSc Health & Social Care (Top up) provides students with the opportunity to graduate with an honours degree. The course draws on a range of local, national and international perspectives and theory. The teaching and learning on this course will reflect the real world of health and social care. In some modules students will use real world experience to inform ideas; in others simulated case studies are used so that the students can apply theoretical knowledge and statistics to them. The dissertation module will provide the students with the opportunity to research a specialist area of their choice that will equip them with skills to enter the job market, progress in their work place or continue in post-graduate studies. The programme also opens up opportunities for careers in health, care and community based organisations and projects in public, private or third sector. Students can progress to further study e.g. post-graduate study and / or career progression. Studying full-time will take one year. Studying part-time will take two years.
