This programme combines the best in practical teaching experience with extensive degree level knowledge of Mathematics. The programme is for anyone who wants to teach secondary Mathematics. You will be assessed through work based on your classroom experience, showing your ability to plan effectively, undertake assessment and develop your subject knowledge. Your mathematics subject knowledge is assessed through a combination of programme work assignments, examinations and presentations. As you progress from observer to teacher in school, you will be assessed through lesson observation reports. Your professional development will be mapped against the Teachers’ Standards (2012) for the award of QTS.

As long as you have a minimum of two A Levels (or equivalent), there is no maximum number of qualifications that we will accept UCAS points from. This includes additional qualifications such as the Welsh Baccalaureate and Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), AS Levels that haven’t been continued to A Level, and General Studies AS or A Level awards.
