Entry requirements
The programme is designed for students with existing Level Postgraduate Diploma level qualifications in Education Leadership and Management, equivalent to 120 Level-7 credits. We can also accept 120 Level-7 credits on a similar programme (PC to check if this is applicable). The programme will also allow, exceptionally, an APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) entry for candidates who have extensive senior management experience that covers elements associated with the Education Leadership and Management subject areas. As recommended by Registry, APEL would need to be claimed (Rev. Academic Office Nov 2021 2 of 11) through producing a portfolio which will evidence the request for academic credit. Two academic staff members will assess the APEL portfolio on the suitability of the claim and if there is a need for additional evidence. RPCL and APEL verification may include a written exercise and an interview with the Programme Convenor or equivalent.
