Course summary

The MSc Mental Health and Wellbeing will provide you with the comprehensive knowledge, understanding and skills to become a better mental health practitioner allowing you to pursue a career in mental health practice and research at local, national and international levels. You will engage with theories, principles and practices that contribute to improvements in mental health and will explore current local, national and global mental health challenges. You will develop your insights into innovative responses to meet these challenges, within the context of complex political, cultural, geographical and economic environments. You will also develop competencies to work in mental health and health service delivery within NHS, local government, private and charity organisations, international development sector, academia and wider health and wellbeing economy.


Entry requirements

A relevant first degree or a professional registration in a related area or equivalent. or working in the field of practice relevant to their proposed study and a cover letter to demonstrate this.
