University of Essex has opted into the TEF and received a Gold award.
You gain the skills in technical theatre and film production and as well studying the theory that underpins film and drama. You cover gender, identity, human rights, tragedy, devising, playwriting, directing, screenwriting, screen media and cinema. What makes us different? You don't just study film and drama as separate disciplines. We offer modules which bring the disciplines of film and drama together. Our modules Directing Actors for Film and Introduction to Screenwriting give you a seamless mix of both film and drama so you can excel throughout the screen and the stage. Our staff have extensive experience in theatre and film and are actively directing, writing, producing and shooting.
Many of our courses offer a choice of optional modules to tailor your learning experience. More information about these can be found on the University of Essex website.
