The Foundation Degree in Computer Games (Concept Art) is designed to allow students to build knowledge and experience to find their place in the world of computer game design. This is a specialist pathway for people wishing to learn skills in Concept Art for Computer Games. You will develop skills in developing digital concept art as well as more traditional art practises, such as, life drawing and observational drawing. Working across a number of disciplines, students will experience the full range of job roles in the game industry and gain an understanding of how these roles work together to produce innovative, engaging games. Students will have the opportunity to devise their own game mechanics and assets, developing skills in a number of creative and technical disciplines to create well realised, playable games. There will be a strong emphasis on professional development and employability, encouraging students to work to industry standards in real world contexts.

You will assessed in a variety of ways including: practical tasks, portfolios, essays, case studies and presentations.
